Notable Nostalgic Blu-ray Releases Oct. 7th - Oct. 13th

Aliens looking for a way home, invading Russians, and killer plants are in store for the week of October 7th!

1.) E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) | Blu-ray Release Date: October 9th, 2012

An extra-terrestrial is accidentally left behind on Earth and is befriended by a young boy and his brother and sister. As Elliot attempts to help his extra-terrestrial companion contact his home planet so that he might be rescued, the children must elude scientists and government agents determined to apprehend the alien for their own purposes...which results in an adventure greater than any of them could have imagined.

2.) Red Dawn (1984) | Blu-ray Release Date: October 9th, 2012

In the heartland of the United States of America, Russian and Cuban paratroopers begin to drop outside while classes go on in the high school. When the soldiers begin killing everyone in sight, local teens take to the hills to avoid the new totalitarian regime established in their little town and, as we later learn, throughout the world. As country folk, they are well familiarized with survival tactics and hunting, which allows them to carry out sophisticated acts of military sabotage, upsetting the balance of power in town with their guerrilla warfare.

3.) Little Shop of Horrors (1986) | Blu-ray Release Date: October 9th, 2012

The movie version of the hit musical based on the 1960 Roger Corman schlock sci-fi cult classic about a blood-craving plant from outer space that takes up residence in a Skid Row flower shop, under the care of nerdy Seymour Krelborne.
