Notable Nostalgic Blu-ray Releases Aug. 19 - Aug. 25

In the last week, we saw a good selection of nostalgic Blu-ray releases. Here is my short list of notable releases:


1.) WarGames (1983) | Blu-ray Release Date: August 21st, 2012

A young computer whiz kid accidentally connects into a top secret super-computer which has complete control over the U.S. nuclear arsenal. It challenges him to a game between America and Russia, and he innocently starts the countdown to World War 3. Can he convince the computer he wanted to play a game and not the real thing?






2.) The Rescuers (1977) / The Rescuers Down Under (1990) - 35th Anniversary Edition | Blu-ray Release Date: August 21st, 2012

Two mice of the Rescue Aid Society search for a little girl kidnapped by unscrupulous treasure hunters.

The Rescue Aid Society agents, Miss Bianca and Bernard, race to Australia to save a boy and a rare golden eagle from a murderous poacher.





3.) Good Will Hunting (1997) - 15th Anniversary Edition | Blu-ray Release Date: August 21st, 2012

A 20-year-old South Boston laborer Will Hunting, a genius who is forced to see a therapist (Williams) and study advanced mathematics with a renowned professor (SkarsgÄrd) in order to avoid jail time. Through his therapy sessions, Will re-evaluates his relationships with his best friend (Affleck) and his girlfriend (Driver) while confronting his emotional issues and making decisions about his future.
